Anne Wood received her degree in music with a vocal performance emphasis from Pacific Lutheran University. Ms. Wood has performed throughout the Los Angeles and Seattle areas as a Mezzo soprano soloist. She began her career in theatre performing, singing in the madgrigal troupe, and teaching Shakespeare with the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum outdoor theatre. She was privileged to study with the eminent David Craig (music theatre) in Hollywood.  Ms. Wood has performed with professional choirs in the Seattle area such as Choral Arts Northwest under the baton of Richard Sparks. She is currently the alto soloist at the University Unitarian Church in Seattle, Karen P. Thomas, conductor. Her last performance was as mezzo soprano soloist in Elijah, in May 2009. Ms. Wood has performed in recordings under the Loft record label, and for The Boeing Company. She also freelances as a violist. She studied with Virginia Majesky in Los Angeles, and played in the Los Angeles Youth Symphony, as well as the South Bay Symphony. Ms. Wood has run an active music studio since 1992. She welcomes students of all ages and skill levels. 
Her studio offers two recitals a year, along with additional performance opportunities. Ms. Wood has successfully helped students prepare for competition for violin, viola, piano, and voice. Many of her students have received awards in voice in the W.I.A.A. solo/ensemble contest. Her piano students have competed in the annual Ragtime competition in Sacramento, California, and in the City of Covington Piano Competition.
Ms. Wood has also served as an adjudicator in vocal competitions. She has organized master classes for her studio, and has successfully prepared her string students for auditions for the Seattle Youth Symphony, the Tacoma Youth Symphony, and the Renton Youth Symphony. Ms. Wood is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and the American Viola Society. She believes in continually updating and adding to her knowledge as a teacher. She is committed to teaching the love of art and music, as well as the fundamentals.
