Policies

Dear Students and Parents,

It is important that the following policies are observed. Please print/keep this page for future reference.

Submittal of the Registration Form indicates that you have read and agree with the policies as noted on this website.

Tuition policy:

Please select one payment plan (located on the registration form; Monthly, Quarterly, or Semester).  Regardless of the selected payment option, tuition is to be paid in full prior to beginning the first lesson of the Quarter or Semester.  Monthly installment payments must be paid by the first lesson of each month.

The studio year is divided into two Semesters.  There are 19 lessons per Semester, with a recital at the end of each one - (see Studio Calendar).  If a student begins lessons after the Semester has started, tuition wil be pro-rated.

Cancellation policy:

To qualify for a make-up session, student must inform instructor of the need for cancellation a minimum of 24 hours prior to scheduled class.

Make-up policy:

Tuition guarantees a student's time slot.  Make-ups, due to a student's absence, are permitted only at the discretion of the instructor, and as time permits.  No more than three approved make-up sessions per Semester will be permitted.  No make-ups are allowed for group lessons.

 Refund policy:

Once a Quarter/Semester has begun, refunds will not be allowed.  Instead, make-up sessions can be negotiated between student and instructor to address any classes that are missed, provided the minimum 24-hr notification has been given to the instructor (as described in the Cancellation and Make-up policies above).

Miscellaneous policies:

Students must arrive for lessons on time.  Parents (or designated adult) must plan to bring and pick up student(s) on time.  The student's safety is always of paramount importance.  However, the Anne Wood Music Studio is not responsible for a student's welfare while he or she is on studio premises, or after the student leaves the studio.  Parents are always welcome to sit in on lessons.

Returned checks will be assessed a $35 fee, plus additional fees incurred as a result of returned checks.  Future tuition payments will be required to be paid in cash.
