Anne Wood Music Studio Scholarship Program Welcome to the Anne Wood Music Studio scholarship program. Each year, two students may earn the privilege of having their music lessons funded for a period of 2 semesters (Sept - Jan, and Feb - June). Prospective scholarship recipients must qualify for the grant by writing an essay explaining the following: 1) what music means to the student seeking the grant, 2) prior musical experience, if any 3) why they are seeking assistance by applying for the scholarship fund. Scholarship applications must also be accompanied by the following information: 1) applicant's name 2) applicant's age 3) applicant's email address (or parent's / legal guardian's) for future contact of scholarship application status One award will be made in the age range of K-6, and the second award will be for grades 7-12. If insufficient applicants exist in either category, funding may be allocated to either category, as deemed appropriate by the music instructor and the scholarship fund sponsor. Essays must be submitted to the Anne Wood Music Studio no later than June 30th of each calendar year. Scholarships will be awarded at the beginning of each school year (September). Applicants will be contacted by the end of August regarding the status of their submittal. Disclaimer: This scholarship fund may be revoked at any time without prior notice.
